Vy was born in New Orleans and lived there until Hurricane Katrina hit. After the storm, she moved through a couple of cities in Texas. For college, she settled in Houston and attended the University of Houston where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. In her free time Vy enjoys writing, watching movies, and spending time with family and friends. She is also a big adrenaline junkie and has a goal of going to all the theme parks throughout the world one day to experience every coaster there is!
Melodi is a native Houstonian. She attended the University of Houston and is in the process of applying to nursing schools. In her free time she likes to try new restaurants in Houston. She also enjoys playing with her dogs and ones at the animal shelter. She is an avid reader and spends time with her family outside of work. Her family is from Veracruz, Mexico, which is a beach town, so her life consists of going to the beach very often.
Ali was born and raised in San Antonio. He moved to Houston in 2021 where he graduated from the University of Houston with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and minored in Public Health. Ali describes himself as an optimistic individual and enjoys volunteering to have a positive impact on the community that he resides in. In his time away from the office he enjoys lifting weights and playing recreational basketball.
Steven was born in Bethlehem PA he recently relocated to Houston with his family. He obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science with minors in Mathematics and Cybersecurity, from Franciscan University in Steubenville, OH. Steven’s journey into Optometry began during his undergraduate senior thesis in which he learned about the eye through the study of Iris Detection. Steven has decided to go back to school and become an optometrist after working in Computer Science for slightly over a year. His passion for helping people and interest in ocular anatomy and pathophysiology lead him to pursue this career path. He is currently completing prerequisite courses for future admission into optometry school. In his spare time, he enjoys singing in his church choir, watching baseball, and playing golf/video games.
Jenny was born in Vietnam and moved to Port Lavaca at very young age. She recently moved to Houston to attend the University of Houston. Jenny is majoring in economics with a minor in biology and aspires to become an optometrist. In her free time she likes to play flag football, cook, play my guitar, and bother her three younger siblings.
